Dublin, let's go!

11th of June; we were all looking forward that day! Mario, Lucía, Irene and me were travelling to Dublin, in Ireland. It was going to be fantastic! Firstly, we took the ALSA at 6 o´clock, that drove us to Baraja´s airport. Although it was very early in the morning, we weren´t able to sleep, as we were all very excited. We arrived in the airport at 09:05. The airplane didn´t leave till 10:30, so we had plenty of time to rest a little bit. Our sits in the plane were next to some Spanish people. They were more or less the same age as us, and we talked about what to do in Dublin t have fun. They were very nice, indeed!

We arrived in Dublin at 12:10. A chofer was waiting for us with a poster with our names. He took us to Ballsbridge hotel, very close to the Dublin city centre.

We left our luggage and we went to eat our lunch in a very comfortable restaurant called Cliff Townhouse, in the city centre. Food was very nice there! 

After that we took a guided tour through Dublin. Dublin is amazing, I swear! We returned to the hotel. We had a shower, we dressed up and we went to The Old Storehouse restaurant to eat dinner. It was a very elegant restaurant, but not too expensive. To end our day, we went to an organized tour through the best bars and clubs in Dublin. Finally, we went back to the hote; we couldn´t wait for another day in Dublin!!

Second Day

Just prepared for a new day in Dublin. We slept all night so we had enough energy for a new intense and exciting day in Howth.

Howth was a small but very beautiful village. We took the DART from Dublin and in just 30 minutes, we were there. We walked through the streets and beaches, watching the typical houses of the village, and the seals swimming in the sea. After having this pleasant walk, we went to one of the best restaurants in Howth calle Aqua Restaurant for having a delicious and typical meal from the zone. When we were full, we took the DART again, that took us to Kilmainham Gaol. It is an old prison, with statues of human bodies simulating the way the people lived there. It was impressive and interesting at the same time.

After that, we went back to the hotel, we had a shower and we went to have dinner in Roly´s Bistro, a restaurant in the area. Food was very nice! To end our day, we walked through Ballsbridge. It is a beautiful neighbourhood, with lots of shops and people in the streets!

It was time for resting, one day less left :(

Third Day

Saturday, best day for having fun and meeting people. We were lucky because the weather was really good and it was the day for our trip to Moher cliffs. We had a walk through the cliff´s limits, watching the sea and a lot of different animals, the amazing views, the village next to the cliffs... I have no words to describe it. Just enjoying a calm walk, while we ate a delicious packed lunch (you may think that it is not like a restaurant, but the food was excellent!!). Then we continued our trip, seeing more things around the area. At 8 o´clock, we were back in Dublin. We were tired, but it was Saturday night, no way to stay at the hotel! We dressed up, we ate a delicious dinner at "The Winding Stair", near the zone of Temple Bar, to start the party there. Music was excellent, we enjoyed the night to the fullest. We met three irish girls that were very nice. THey invited us to go on Sunday night to their house in Sandymount, have a BBQ and a party! So, I guess thar we already have a plan for tomorrow ; D

Fourth Day

Just a bit tired after Saturday, but with enough energy to continue having fun. We rented four bikes and we rode to The Guinness Storehouse. There we visited the factory and we saw how beer is done, and, of course, we tasted some of them. After that, we went to Locks Brasserie, one of the most famous restaurants in the city. The food was really good, and when we finished, we went to Saint Patrick´s Cathedral, which was awesome. Then we went to Trinity College, which was beautiful and also very interesting.There some scenes of Harry Potter were filmed! To finish the day, we decided to go to a barbecue, where we met other tourists from different countries that were also visiting Dublin. Another great day in Ireland!!!

Last Day :(

Last day of adventure. We were a bit sad because we wanted to stay more. But it was not possible. We wanted to make the most of the last hours, so we left the hotel and visited the Science Gallery and the Art Museum. We saw incredible things there, and we had a great time the fourth of us. Then, we went to the best and exclusive restaurant in Dublin, Sabor Brasil. Everything was delicious, and we had a good time. After eating, we went shopping. We bought a lot of souvenirs, more food and some clothes. When we finished buying, we took our luggage and went to the airport to take the plane back home. We were sad, but it was just because we want to continue there. After the flight, we took the bus and we arrived in Valladolid, quite tired. It has been a great experience :)
